Brief Biography:

Britton is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of St. John's College, the first in his family to earn a college degree.  He's committed to the mission of classical education and considers it one of the greatest gifts one can receive.  Just before coming to Hillsdale, he interned and wrote for the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal.  Britton is particularly interested in the arts of dialectic and rhetoric as taught by Aristotle and practiced in medieval disputations.  He's very grateful for the challenging and enriching experience provided by the MACE program faculty and colleagues.

Research Interests:

Classical liberal arts education, Aristotelian Dialectic, History of the Great Books movement.

Recent Professional Developments:

(publications,conferences, fellowships, internships/employment):  Research Internship with the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal, Summer 2024 (articles on higher education to be published later this summer)

Post-Graduation Plans:

I plan on seeking a great opportunity in service of the mission of liberal arts education, and on starting the project of modernizing Aristotle’s Organon
