Brief Biography:
Gannon grew up in the Hudson Valley, attending Sacred Heart School in Monroe, NY, and then John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen, NY. Initially, he had intended to apply to ROTC programs post-high school but discovered Hillsdale College through the auspices of his mother. Near the end of his Hillsdale College career, Gannon discerned God’s desire for him to enter teaching professionally. Since graduating in 2014, Gannon has taught at the primary and secondary levels at two Catholic classical schools in Michigan and New Hampshire. Additionally, he has assisted the Catholic classical movement on a national and international level through the St. John Henry Newman Institute. Gannon lives in Hillsdale with his wife, Lindsey, and their son, David.
Research Interests:
Exploring the St. Victor Abbey School of Paris’ educational paradigm and viewing the contemporary Catholic school renewal through a Victorine lens.

What Brought You to Hillsdale:
It was Hillsdale that first opened my eyes to the true aims of education and inspired me to enter the field in the first place. I wanted to return to Hillsdale, taking advantage of the incredible faculty and community, to advance my development and efficacy as an educator, at minimal cost to my family.
