Brief Biography:
A recent graduate from Hillsdale College, Paul Lindauer aspires to extend the reach and aims of classical education. He loves the relational and wonder-inspiring sides of teaching and has been exploring this interest by instructing at a ballroom dance studio and working as an optometric technician during the last few summers—sometimes helping to teach principles of dance connection and sometimes assisting patients through eye-exam tests. As a musician, Paul also has a strong desire to involve the creativity of students in their education.
Post-Graduation Plans:
My plan is to work at a Classical Christian K-12 school, either as a teacher or administrator.
What Has Been the Thing You’ve Appreciated Most About Your Time Here?
During my first semester in the graduate program, I have studied under brilliant and eloquent professors and alongside hardworking and admirable peers. I have come to realize that learning is a lot more like cultivating a relationship than downloading data. Studying here has formed not just my mind but also my affections, and I have finally started to let the great ideas in the books we study inform my own life. I feel that this program is grounding for potential educators; it is a path that lends itself to the deepening of love and, likewise, to an expanded ability to offer and express that love to others.
