Brief Biography:

Samuel Sadler was raised in Knoxville, TN. His parents helped found Paideia Academy, a classical Christian school, where he attended from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Samuel attended Union University from 2017 to 2021, majoring in philosophy. After graduation, he moved to Pensacola, FL, to teach Latin and Humanities at Trinitas Christian School. He has attended Presbyterian (CREC) and Anglican (ACNA) churches at different stages of his life.

Research Interests:

I am interested in Søren Kierkegaard, Dante, and the medieval worldview/education.

Recent Professional Developments (Publications, Conferences, Fellowships, Internships/Employment):

I presented a paper on Kierkegaard and education at the North American Association for Philosophy and Education in October 2024.

What Has Been the Thing You’ve Appreciated Most About Your Time Here?

The program is academically challenging without being stodgy and esoteric. By being directed toward teaching, the work remains relevant and significant.
