Research interests:
This semester I am researching a range of topics including: Platonic influence in early Arthurian legends, how the literary self-functions in Homer compared to Augustine’s Confessions, and the relationship between Plato’s Timaeus and Augustine’s’ theology.
What brought you to Hillsdale?
I had the opportunity to grow up in a strong classical educational system personally and seeing the way it changed my life in the coming years instilled in me a desire to pursue a more formal knowledge of classical education. Classical education had a huge impact on my life and I hope to be able to do the same for others whether it be in the classroom or outside of it.
What has been the thing you’ve appreciated most about your time here?
I have most appreciated the relationship with the professors. The classes are small and allows for a personal relationship to grow inside of class and out. Even though our professors are busy beyond their duties in the classroom, each and everyone is here to offer support and guidance in our communal effort to help foster Classical Education more broadly.
