Michael was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. His interest in education began at Liberty Classical Academy, a Christian school located in a suburb outside of St. Paul. In his 5th grade class, he cultivated a love of learning which would mature into a deep-seated conviction of the importance of education. This conviction led him to pursue a degree in philosophy with a plan to attend a Master’s program in education. In2018, he graduated from college and married his high school sweetheart, Jenna. In 2020, Michael and his wife finalized the adoption of their twin daughters, Ava and Aria, and eight months later welcomed their third daughter, Adeline, into the world.
What brought you to Hillsdale?
In 2020 I came across Hillsdale’s online class on K-12 education and I started to become acquainted with the college’s K-12initiative. I have appreciated the culture of our program the most. There is an invigorating amount of challenge and expectation of greatest among the students and faculty. Equally, the program provides an immense amount of support to succeed.
