What brought you to Hillsdale?

We need teachers who are themselves students of the liberal arts. And, we need capable school leaders who will attract sharp teachers to the profession. Hillsdale College is advancing a noble goal as they cultivate teachers and leaders who are grounded in the history of ideas. What is distinctive about Hillsdale’s Graduate School of Classical Education? Hillsdale’s Graduate School of Classical Education could not be more different from your typical school of education. Most education schools are job training programs, not learning institutions; and they are obsessed with the latest trends and ideologies. Hillsdale students are steeped in classical texts and learn from those authors of history, literature, and philosophy who are worth imitating.
